I went to this hairdressers after buying a Groupon offer for £140 hair makeover for £45 - which around 100 others have also purchased.
The staff weren’t overly friendly, they did highlights which aren’t very noticable and the stylist didn’t barely spoke during this process. Then my hair cut with another hairdresser lasted about 2 seconds of meagre snips. I was asked if I wanted it left curly - I said that was fine.
My hair was scrunched and set under a stand-alone dryer for ten minutes, then I was told I could leave my voucher at reception even though my hair was soaking.
I did not get a conditioning treatment or head massage that was also supposed to be part of the offer.
I had to get a taxi home and dry my hair, I later rang to speak to Michael Quinn who explained that naturally curly hair is left damp to curl naturally, instead of blowdrying it curly. I wasn’t given this option and I didn’t want to walk around with wet hair.
As for a ‘hair makeover’, even my boyfriend bluntly told me that it looks exactly the same.
On the whole, the special offer was not worth buying and I won’t be going back to this hairdressers and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We loved it. Service was good. Food was nice. Great to see such a classy place in belfast with such a good atmosphere. Heading there tonight again.

As takeaway goes, five stars (sit-in pizza is a different beast, imho) especially since they once let me buy a pizza at one in the morning. A great, fresh, independent operation!

My favourite fast-food in Belfast. Okay, so it doesn’t have the gnarly depth of true Mission-style burritos, but be glad for that: SF burrito-rice is 30% margarine, as far I could tell… Boojum serves much healthier fare, full of authentic flavour nonetheless — salsas and guacamole are the real deal. Just being around that many avocados makes me feel happy.
P.S. Okay, here’s the lowdown on tacos. No Mexican would ever eat a curvy, crispy taco, okay? That’s just an extremely popular invention of middle america. Not judging, just saying. Soft tacos are where it’s at, though I wish Boojum had soft corn tacos, which are the actual, standard taco of Mission taquerias.
Okay, I’m done now.

Not authentically Japanese, but healthy, fresh and full of variety, so I ate here a number of times. Try the miso soup and the sushi-train options, especially inari (bean-curd wrapped rice) and various rolls. Their tempura is also nice. Lunch is an extremely good value, too.

Rated as a lunch spot, I give five stars to Oodles, for their freshness, healthiness, variety, and well-kept premises. Green tea is a nice pick me up, too. A perfect small bite on Botanic.

One of my top choices for a candlelit night in Belfast. But I’m no glamour girl, and recommend this place only to artistic / bohemian / dreamer types!
Continental-bistro ambience, flavourful and unusual dishes (they’re a reasonable value for money, neither bad nor great), fantastic live music, and imaginative, enjoyable wines and puddings.
As for the service, some staff are a little tempestuous, it’s true. But personally, I prefer a spot where the service is straightforward, and the staff maintain their actual personalities. Don’t drop in if you expect to be treated like a delicate child; go seeking excitement!

(Not Japanese food, but rather, Chinese with Korean influences, by the way).
Try the handmade noodles and dumplings!
Very sweet staff, and peaceful atmosphere.
Their teas are served with tiny tarts, and the juices always delighted me… A place good with detail.

I so agree with nicofell. The food was average and the service was poor. I can’t understand why some of the other reviews are praising this restaurant, they must be going to a different restaurant to the one my husband and I went to. It has been a long time since I was at such a bad restaurant

Not bad for a wee party, nice beer! Just don’t try and extend your music past one o clock!

Great new bar with live music every night attached to the Merchant hotel.
Busy most nights but like anywhere new in Belfast can be a little over crowded
