Great food, decent pints, staff dead on, bit uncomfortable some of the seats, but decent bar.

Best pub grub I’ve had in ages. I had a gorgeous chicken dish… The chicken just fell off the bone. My mouth is watering as I speak. Portions are huge, so be hungry before you go.
I love the fact the side dishes are included in the price, always a nice surprise (Doesn’t happen very often these days.. Before you know it u’ve paid for another meal once you added your side dishes.. Not here though… Gravy, peas and chips all included.. Good for you Mr Garrick.)

One of Belfast. Lots of options, from traditional music sessions to funky alternative music. Not eating here, though I see from other lookaly folk that I am missing out and need to give that a go. Well done the Garrick.

Got told off for being too loud in here!! What’s that about in a pub?! Drinks are good enough prices, but the staff just aren’t friendly.

Incredible food, great selection of beer and a few really great clubnights at the weekend. Easily the best bar in Belfast.

Decent bar. Not too big but good floor space for the people through-traffic. Big screens for the sport.
Drinks are getting on pricey but the staff are very friendly and professional.

Got pointed towards the Garrick by a mate of mine.
Food was pretty good, good selection of beers & laid back crowd.
One of my first times in the Garrick involved a projector screen of extreme sports / movie clips, and some very unique music.
Was a complete audio-visual experience! Thumbs up!

I like this place and always end up here… I am just not too sure why!!!
Had a few good Thursday nights now that I think about it!

Good food, good beers, good craic.
Bonus points for having Jenga and Scrabble on standby.
Free wifi also a plus.

Dropped in on a Sunday eve for a quiet pint and it was just perfect for it.. Very authentic feel, nice little snugs for privacy.. Pity the fire wasn’t lit last night but the last time I was there it was. Good pint of stout too.

Great pub to call into on a Friday evening before hitting the town. I love the live music and they pour a great Guinness.

Oh I love The Garrick, its always toasty warm in winter and never too packed during the day. The service is really fast and the food is absolutely lovely. We would really recommend the burgers as they were terrific the last time we were there.
A classic old man pub which is hard to find, perfect for a early evening drink and snack. The decor is very classic and their little booth partitions give an added sense of intimacy. If you have the time, grab the cluedo and have a game over an Aspall cider.

I love the Garrick as a bar - I had my leaving do from work there and the staff were VERY indulgent. It was also one of the first bars to start stocking Aspall’s I believe - score…
However, I’ve eaten in there a couple of times and been disappointed. Last time, I’d ordered chicken fajitas, and my mate the chicken stir-fry. Mine was a tortilla with chicken stir-fry in it. When I pointed this out, I got told it was cajun chicken - I said I didn’t believe beansprouts to be a cajun staple, nor soy sauce, and a lack of cajun spice was a tad unusual. Really don’t like being lied to/having intelligence insulted when spending hard-earned money on dining out! Haven’t eaten there since but should maybe give it another try…
..But to finish on a positive; really, the bar’s great. Good, clean, ‘old boy’ pub with a roaring fire in winter. Live music good too.

Superb spot the Garrick, always a great selection of specials for lunch and dinner and very helpful staff. Honestly the best pub lunch in Belfast as far as I’m aware.

Gave the Garrick a try after reading some recommendations on Lookaly.
Nice traditional pub style atmosphere. I went for sausage (of the day) and champ. Girlfriend went for chicken risotto. Both tasty dishes.
Service was friendly and we were served quickly. You can get a nice meal for 2 for £15 (not including drinks)

I drink there from time to time but last time I got food the steak was cold - might have been a one off though

The Garrick bar is surely one of Belfast best kept secrets. This little bar has alot to offer 7 nights of the week. Be it the traditional music on a Wednesday night, or a soul thing on Saturdays, the Garrick always impresses. One thing that the Garrick if often not credited for is the Live Football and Rubgy. It seems to be getting harder and harder to find a good central bar that shows sport and isnt full of idiots. The Garrick bar is perfect for a midweek pint and some live football.

Old traditional style front bar, good selection of beers on tap, laid back crowd, serious lack of pretentiousness, great music in back bar on a fri / sat nite. Trainer-friendly policy. Great spot

Ok, picture this - my perfect day in a pub.
A good mate, a lovely pint of Guinness, a packet of chocolate digestives (for the spar) and a chess board.
Gentlemen - I give you the perfect saturday afternoon.
And it can only be found in the Garrick.
