Am a regular ‘Ground’ Customer, I’m well aware of their standards. This is the only one I’ve ate in, in Belfast however where I expected better! First visit here was very good, however by the second visit, less than a month later, the standards had fallen! I don’t know if it had been taken over by new management so soon at that stage, but it definitely wasn’t the same as before.
First of all, the scones were self-service (not the case or as far as I am aware in the other stores). I was asked if I wanted the scone heated, and after the member of staff finally got her act together… I finally got seated to find the scone hadn’t been heated at all (must’ve put it in the microwave and forget to actually heat it), nor had I been given a cup for my tea!! When I returned to ask for the scone to actually be heated (and for a cup!), the scone was returned practically rock hard (overheated this time).
To add to this, the other staff were just sitting about talking. I know it wasn’t a busy morning by any means, but it just looks so unprofessional.
I’ll be visiting another of the Belfast stores in future! Looking forward to that though, as I love ‘Ground’ :)

Has to be the nicest cafe in Belfast, books and coffee and the most amazing lemon drizzle cake . Visited it a few times always good, love the music, only complaint would be that its very busy but worth the wait,

Nice little spot that you’d hardly know about from the street. Quiet and comfortable, and free wifi means it’s a good place to set up your laptop and work for a while.
Coffee is good (and a regular is pretty large). Had to remind the barista after a while that I had ordered a bagel, but I wasn’t in a hurry so no big deal.
Staff are friendly and the place is clean and well looked after. Being located in Waterstones makes it feel a bit like you’re in a library, so it has that nice quiet and relaxed feel to it. Recommended.

Excellant spot, was in their store in Next, coffee was exceptional and had a fab morrocan lemon chicken soup, free wifi and great staff, my new fav!

Had coffee and cake here yesterday. Found it great price wise (latte and carrot cake for me, milkshake and brownie with ice cream for my son - £6.50ish).
It’s also a nice spot; it was quiet enough during out visit (on a Sunday) to leave our shopping bags at the table and go for a wander round Waterstones.
Will definitely be back.

Nice place located on 1st floor of Waterstones. Had a lovely spicy chicken panini, although took a while for it to be prepared.
The muffins and various tray bakes look delicious too. Would recommend along with a trip to Waterstones for some good reading.
