They cut my hair. I looked sharp, but it was pretty expensive. Nearly £20. But definately best barber in Belfast. Yet to be offered a beer though, or a go on the xbox. I will be going tonight I think.

Decided to gives Jacks another 5 star review after noticing the poor review it received through my facebook profile. I cannot for the life of me understand how it was given 1 star. It does sound like the 1 star reviewer didn’t receive the level of service I am used to receiving but to give it 1 star is madness in my view!
Anyway I have been using Jacks now since last year. I would not even be tempted to go elsewhere as the service you receive here is top class. Always a good cut no matter who you get.
Ignore the 1 bad review, and look at the amount of good ones!

I have been to Jacks now a few times to get my hair cut or even a shave. Really good experience and seems to be a good atmosphere between all the staff which is very important as you feel welcome when you are there.
The xBox idea is cool while you are waiting in the trendy envirourment provided.
Yes, the price is a little more than your average barbers but Jacks really isn’t your average barders at all. It’s better and for the ammount of times you actually get your hair cut it is worth the extra few pound.

After reading the reviews on lookaly for Jack’s I decided to go and have my haircut.
The night before I attempted to make a booking for 6:00pm, I was told that there was no need to book and I just needed to turn up, so I did. After arriving I was told that it was quite busy and that I would have to wait for an hour for a haircut as a staggering two people where in front of me in the queue. I asked could i go around town and come back in an hour and was told that was no problem.
I came back approximately an hour later and took a seat to wait to get my hair cut. They do have free internet and xbox, but the Tvs are the size of gameboy screens and quite difficult to view from the seating area. At least they had a decent selection of magazines to read, because I needed them.
The guy in front of me had finished his haircut and I was expecting to be taken next, however the barber offered the next haircut to a gentleman who had arrived in as I had been walking around town. Not wanting to make a fuss I decided to say nothing.
Finally it was my turn to get my haircut, at 7:40pm. Nearly two hours after my original “planned” time of getting my hair cut, so much for the need “not to book”.
I went for a wash and cut. The massage chair felt a bit odd during the wash. I think it would be better if they implemented massaging techniques into the wash itself as opposed to relying on technical wizardry that made me feel like I was slipping out of my seat.
Next was the haircut. At this point I was offered a beer or coffee, which I believed should have been offered as I was sitting waiting. The cut itself was nothing special, no different than a cut you would get in a local barber shop.
The price was ridiculous, £21 for what is a barber style and barber quality haircut. It wasn’t worth it. Many people commented, “Did you go somewhere different to get your hair cut”. It lacked the finish other places would provide for the same price.
Overall Jacks is an overpriced Barbers, that is sold as hip and trendy to gullible metros, who end up with haircuts not worth what they paid.

Just had to review this place. Another great haircut and experience. I always feel so relaxed everytime I leave. Might have something to do with the massgae chair, honestly if you visit get your hair washed. I also spotted a couple of the Ulster rugby boys in having the Jacks experience on my last visit so word must be spreading about this place. Absolutely love it.

Have been back a couple of times since I first tried Jacks Of London and can honestly say it’s the best barbershop I’ve ever used.
Friendly people, clean spacious environment, free beer and coffee. Even the magazines and papers in the waiting area are up-to-date.
The attention to detail provides a great overall experience. This is now my regular.

Just back from my second visit to Jacks and have to say that my first 5 star experience was not a one off. I got a guy called Derek this morning and this guy really is a master barber. Best haircut I have ever had. Whats more they have started a loyalty scheme weherby you get £10 off every 5th haircut. Derek also recommended a good shampoo and product for me to use on my hair. First class service and a cup of tea to wake me up.

Visited Jacks of London yesterday for the first time as I am sick of getting crappy student deal haircuts elsewhere. They have a student deal Mon-Wed which costs £13. Now this is pricer than most for a student but as it turns out it was really worth it. I got a beer at 11am in the morning and a great haircut. Can’t remember the name of the fella that cut my hair but it was a really good job. The place looks great inside (bachelor pad). If I could I would move in, leather sofas, xbox, beer, internet access and sports wall. First class Jacks, keep up the good work. You have trully changed my opinion on what a barbers can offer.

Just what Belfast needed. I have been using Jacks on Fountain St since it opened last year. Staff are exceptional, very professional and they are clearly very experienced. No matter who you get you are guaranteed a good haircut. You can even have a beer or a cuppa. Price is not bad either.

After my first taste of Jacks I went back this morning to try out a shave as I am going to a formal tonight. I cannot recommend one of these shaves enough. Took about 45 mins and it was absolute relaxation. I have to admit of was kind of scared at the start when the barber put the blade to my juggular! Shave was very close and the products used were excellent. The hot & cold towels are also great. I bought the shave creme they used so I will let you know in due course when I get round to using it as it could be a while due to the closeness of the shave I had this morning.

Just back from my first visit to Jacks of London on Fountain Street. This place looks amazing, not what us men are used to in Belfast. Jacks is more than needed in Belfast. Haircut was first class, staff very professional and polite. Good consultation on what would work for me before a pair of scissors or clippers got anywhere near me. I recommend that you get your hair washed as the chair you sit in give you back a massage.

I have been using Jacks since it opened. Great job time after time. Staff are first class no matter who you get. They actually listen to what you want. My missus even gets a cuppa while she waits reading the papers. Place looks great with sports tv, xbox, leather sofas and internet access.

First class. I received vouchers as a Christmas present. Beer, sports wall & xbox while you wait. Good haircut, not a rushed job. Will be back.
