This was our second time dining at Mourne Seafood Bar - so far our experiences have been very good. As it was a Sunday, no bookings taken - first come. First served. We arrived around 3pm and luckily didn’t have to queue for a table. Mind you, no-one appeared to have to wait on a table any longer than 5 minutes.
Good selection of starters and mains including specials board. We opted for salted chilli squid, piri piri prawns, and spiced monkfish - delicious. Prices reasonable. Service good - not intrusive or pressured to eat faster in order to clear the table for next punters.
Good atmosphere although can be noisy with chatter from other tables and music. There’s nothing worse than dining out in a restaurant that’s half empty and no atmosphere so it’s a minor grumble.
Desserts were kind of small for the price - £5 each. As it was a birthday celebration we treated ourselves!
All in all we enjoyed it and would certainly recommend the Mourne Seafood Bar - we will definitely be back.

Service was very quick though could be friendlier.
The steamed mussels are excellent and the cocktails…well what can I say

For such a small island, it’s tricky enough to get good seafood in Ireland.
The Mourne Seafood bar has it more than covered though. Really excellent food. And the price was surprisingly inexpensive. Very good location for a lunch treat as well.

The best seafood restaurant in belfast bar none. The atmosphere and food are excellent. Service is great and the bar and wine list top notch. Always had a great night in here.

The most amazing food I have ever tasted. I am a really picky eater (and not the world’s biggest fish fan) but with some great veggie options I can say this was the best meal I have had in a long time. Service was excellent.

Absolutely superb seafood, the best in Belfast. I’ve eaten there five times now, and every time the food was brilliant and the staff was invariably friendly and helpful.
The only (very minor) downside is that when it’s busy it can get a bit loud and conversations are hard to keep up, and the wooden tables are a bit sticky from abundant use of acidic cleaning products.

Love, love, love this place. Amazing food, a very pleasing wall of wine to look at behind the bar - nice, dark and attractive; like the Frenchman I once brought there whose favourite dish is bouillebaisse, and who thoroughly enjoyed the seafood hotpot. I’ve heartily enjoyed everything I’ve ever eaten and drank there, at lunch or dinner - she’s not chape, as they say in the country, but then the best things in life often aren’t.
Get thee down there.

Excellent food and venue, loses one star because it has always been clear on our many visits that they want you off that table quickly. If you can accept this then it’s one of the best restaurants in Belfast

Terrific food cooked by people who know how, served by people who care. I recommend the Japanese oysters and the Monkfish casserole - excellent.

Anytime I’ve been in here I’ve always thought the food was good but the service was rushed with a pressure to finish your meal within a very tight time frame. It has put me off going back. Shame.
