Fantastic. Ate here a couple of weeks ago and must say food and service was excellent. Initially felt the menu did not read too well, but food was as good as anywhere in Belfast - will def be back

Very poor experience in every way ..restricted and strange menu ..ordered whole plaice, but was told none left at 8 on a saturday night, only fillets ..had the duck ..3 tiny strips ..plus small leg ..no sides included..ridiculous prices ..rib eye steak,no sides £22.50..patronising service…10% service charge for parties of 5 or more ..why 5 ?? Four bottles of wine £88 plus 10%..asked 4 bill ..25 mins hadnt arrived ..went up ..guy sorting thro dockets manually..bill arrived eventually..wrong bill wrong table ..15 mins later, another bill, wrong again..much much better restaurants in belfast ..and infinitely cheaper..never be back

Went for lunch yesterday with a group of 8. I had the Chicken Liver Parfait to start, Chicken with gnocchi for main and Chocolate trio dessert (can’t remember the name). All were great - there’s very few places I would order chicken, No. 27 is somewhere you can trust to keep it juicy. My lunch with 1 beer cost £30.
Pros: decor, food & service
Cons: I’m yet to find one!

Had a late lunch at No. 27 today with a friend, it was our first time there and walking in I was a little confused. I had heard great reports about the food but although it was busy with lunch service winding down the decor and furniture it gave the impression of being a cafe or coffee shop.
We were greeted and shown to a table at the back of the restaurant beside the herb garden with a good view of the kitchen.
I had the Soup of the day, Roast Tomato and basil with a wee kick of Chilli, which was delicious. It came with crusty fresh wholemeal bread. Yum! My friend had the Goats Cheese Salad with figs, walnits and apple sauce. He liked it.
For main course I opted for the Supreme of chicken with pesto, herb roasted potatoes and pesto. Again wow, I can honestly say it was one of the best main courses I’ve had in a long time. My friend had a large Chicken Salad and again he thought it was lovely.
We were both quite stuffed after our main and we weren’t going to bother with dessert but we had a look at the menu anyways. As soon as my friend saw the Chocolate Dessert he was sold. I wasn’t too fussed so had Ice cream instead. Both really good!
We both had coffees and the total bill was a touch over £50
Other points -
+ Club Orange and Pepsi
- Espresso Coffee very bitter

Staff were excellent, however I was very disappointed with our experience. Despite the resturant being almost empty when we arrived we were seated right beside the only other couple in the resturant with the tables uncomfortably close. We had a voucher and the menu only had 4 choices for starter and main course which I thought was very limiting especially as two of the main courses were fish of some description. We both had the only main meal with meat which was the pork belly (very cheap cut), this arrived as a tiny square of pork/fat with more fat than pork. If this menu was supposed to encourage new custom it was poorly thought out. I would not return nor would I recommend this resturant.

Excellent food, excellent service. Nice settings. Just great.
Really cannot say enough about how good the service was. Attentive without being in-your-face.

We dined @ 27 Talbot Street again last night. As expected the food & service was very good. I had the Potted Chicken starter, which was great, although a chicken was a bit lost with the strong jam. For main I had the Steak (rare). Cooked perfectly with double or triple fried chips to die for. I finished with the cheesecake & dessert wine. £91 all in for 2 people, 3 courses.
Pros: food, service, location
Cons: Main courses a bit too small

Love this place. Always a real treat. The perfect restaurant before a night on the town. Superb food & buzzing atmosphere. Oh and you can also read tweets from the kitchen @no27talbotst

One of the few shining lights in Belfast at the minute - skillfuly controlled outlet, excellent service and staggering food.

Visited Number27 close to christmas time, and choose from the set christmas menu, but from what I understand this is quite close to the standard, non christmas menu.
Choose the steak, medium rare, and was absolutely delighted. I can easily say that there is no other place in Belfast to get such a quality steak at such a good price. From what I have been told, they cook their steak 3 times over, seasoning between each cooking, to maximise the flavour, and I found that it works very well!
Despite it being a couple of days before christmas, I found the service to be fantastic, down to the smallest detail. For example, when the waiter actively remembers and notes down who ordered what, and the food is served directly to you without the (sometimes inevitable) questioning again of who ordered what, you begin to understand the quality and standard at Number27.
I plan on going back again very soon.

Excellent service, very friendly and on the ball. Nice place, bit different as it’s quite open and works well.
Minimal menu, which I like as it keeps you focused on a small selection of food. Food was very nice and really well presented.
This is quite a fancy place and definitely one for a special occasion. Although the food is quite pricey and you don’t get much for the cost. I was still hungry after. I had duck and it came with sauteed potatoes but there were only a few small slices.
Average price for starter (at dinner) is £7 and average for main course is £17.
Recommended for a special occasion but go for an extra side order to satisfy your hunger.

Class Restaurant - One of Belfast’s Finest. Staff always friendly and you’ll be guaranteed good food and wine at a good price.

Dined there for the first time a few months ago. I was extremly disappointed. My main course was a plate of salt with steak and vegetables on the side! We felt rushed despite having a late-ish sitting (8.30pm). We were ordering our desert less than an hour after we arrived.

I have never had anything great food, great service and unexpectedly low prices from No. 27. I will always endeavour to make it my destination of choice. It’s just great - and keep an eye on the blackboard near the door for special events.
Gets busy around lunchtime so get there early.

Dined here a couple of months back. Food was amazing (esp. The carpaccio with horshradish coleslaw). Great service and nice atmosphere, despite my initial thoughts that it looked a little “canteenish”.
Will be back.
