Really high standard of beer and large selection spirits, they had ‘Jack Daniels Single Barrel’ in stock before anyone else had heard of it.

I like RBG for food but every so often I will have meetings in here and I wish they would sort out the wifi.
When I ask for access to wifi, the waitress will make me go out to the hotel reception to ask for a password. The receptionist will then ask me to provide a receipt of my purchase from the bar, then hand me a password. It’s a bit of a session and more complicated than it should be to get online.
Based on this experience, it’s not the best place for meetings if you need online access.

Went here for dinner, it was very tasty. We had fish cakes to start (Luckily we were sharing - a very generous portion). They were tasty, but a little dry for my taste….
For main I had a lovely burger and chips. The chips came in the cutest little basket, like a mini fryer- so original.
I must say the place was very busy and therefore service was a little slow, but we were in no rush, so it was fine and the food was good.
I would definately go back.

Very disappointed with this venue. Headed there on Saturday night after a meal. Got there expecting the sports bar to be showing the fight. To my surprise they didn’t have it on and wouldn’t be showing it because it was Pay Per View, I’ve been in other that paid the fee as it usually brings in extra people.
Noticed a few other people enquiring and leaving as it wasn’t on.

Very nice place, decor is really trendy.
Went here for lunch and had a BBQ chicken sandwich. Was definitely a good choice. Bit pricey at £9.50 for sandwich and water (wasn’t expecting to pay £1.50 for glass of water), but still good. Nice Friday treat.
Bonus points for providing free wifi.

I took the girlfriend out last week and came across this great new bar and what a bar!! By far the nicest in the city center! after a few drinks we decided to have something to eat and werent disappointed. The food was delicious and the waitress very friendly. We called a few friends to see if they would join us and they werent disappointed either and ended yp stying there as they had live acoustic music. Top night, top bar and top service. Will defo be a regular.

My wife and i had a great meal in rbg last night and the service was excellent. We ordered the sirloin and rib eye steaks both were cooked to perfection and exceptionally tasty, the waiter was superb and really went out of his way to make us feel at home. Although slighly pricey we will be back again and the cocktails were fab!!!

We ate there last night, wanting to get a quick meal. I ordered the free-range chicken for £12 with a side of chips for an extra £2.50. The chicken was a large breast, but had expected more for the money, it was cooked to a high standard, but was really salty. The special RBG sauce was green mush and tasteless, and there was a pile of salad leaves at least twice the size of the chicken with no dressing (that I could taste), and I couldn’t be sure that it had been cleaned properly. My boyfriend had the Gourmet burger for £10 including chips, which is better pricewise, but he also found his really salty. The staff were friendly enough, but when it came to paying I had to go up to the staff and ask them despite attempts to get their attention in a very quiet restaurant. Apart from the salt and the salad, the food was nice, but very overpriced. Drinks weren’t cheap either with a small glass of wine setting you back £4. I won’t be going back.

My husband and I decided to try RBG for food last week as we had been in the bar previously and thought the interior was very impressive. However, we were both very disappointed with the food and standard of service. My husband ordered the slow cooked lamb shank and I ordered the Cajun burger. The food was average at best but the prices were not. The lamb was cooked so badly that a lot of the meat would not come off the bone. The burger was advertised as spicy but was bland and contained a cheese slice rather than proper cheese!! For the price they are charging you would expect much better quality. I ordered an orange cordial to drink which was weak despite the fact that I was charged £1.25 for it!! When we finished our dinner we were left sitting for ages waiting to have the plates cleared - eventually we got fed up and went to the bar to pay - the waitress did not even ask how the meal was (probably just as well!!), she didn’t even ask if it was the bill we were after, she simply stated the price and put her hand out for the money. Needless to say we will not be back.
