The bar is really good for a drink. But thats about it.
Beds are terrible, staff were extremely unprofessional (not bar staff) and rude. I was expecting a great stay from a top class hotel, I was majorly disappointed. It would be 1 star only for the bar!

Decent enough food, if a bit overpriced. Service was quick but a little intrusive - we got asked 3 times in one course if everything was OK, and they were really pushing us to buy extra drinks. Also it can get quite noisy in there, which makes conversation difficult.

First visit, was a Monday night so not too crowded. Bar seemed nice and our meal was reasonable.
I had the skewers for starters and a steak. Waitresses were friendly and there was a deal on for one of the beef dishes (came with a free starter and dessert).
All in all a reasonable first impression.

I attended a wedding reception in the Porcelain Suite at Ten Square on Saturday and have to say it really was excellent. Fab finger food when we arrived - mini burgers, chicken goujons, vege samosas and cocktail sausages - just when you need when you’ve missed lunch and won’t get ‘the meal’ until later on.
The meal itself was really really good too - potato and leek soup - I wouldn’t be a big soup eater but was quite hungry and it was delicious! I had chicken for my main - really tasty - lovely gravy and roasties - most people had roast beef with those crispy onions on top - the silence in the otherwise noisy room was testament to how yummy the dinner was. The desert was the only slight falter - trio of deserts - lemon mousse cheesecake with raspberry coulis - tangy deliciousness, a mini fruit crumble - really nice - but then there was a scoop of ice-cream that had everyone wondering what the flavour was - was it cinnamon? No no, Walnut? Maybe…clove? Hmm…some sort of slight spice and walnuty flavour - turned out to be ‘fruit loaf’. With the fruity crumble a plain vanilla would have been a knockout.
Service was excellent - and the bacon butties later on the evening went down a treat with the boys :)
I would totally recommend Ten Square as a wedding reception venue - there were 101 guests and it was just perfect for that size of a wedding. Fab all around.

Great food and service. Love the special touch of opeining your napkin to find a little chocolate sweet hidden inside!! Beef noodle dish highly recommended. Potato wedges crispy and cooked to perfection.

Nice place for a few drinks. Am a fan of the mojitos. They’ll serve the cocktails to your table, which is always good if you’re feeling lazy.
Often live music inside. Good seating area outside to watch the world go by in the city centre.
I hear the food is good too. Currently two for one on Mondays.

Went for a drink when the christmas market closed. Pretty busy at 10pm but no que at the bar and was able to get seats. Good atomosphere…haven’t tried the food since it opened but have heard some good reports of the restaurant

Went here for lunch - the burger was overpriced and seriously overcooked. The “barbeque” sauce was quite clearly out of a jar. Service forgot the chips (which were £3.50 extra!).
If you’re charging this much for food - you’d better be sure it is good! Disappointed, as i’ve heard good reports about Ten Square before.

Was really busy in restaurant but food was fantastic. Booking is a good idea at the weekend if you don’t want to wait on a table

Food is a bit pricey, but always good.
Last I was there, it was early at Sunday lunchtime. It was quiet so we were seated and served straight away. The staff were friendly.
Why this doesn’t get 4 stars is the stupid tables. Most of the tables in the bar section are very low, as are the seats. A child couldn’t even get their legs underneath so you have no choice but to sit sideways and eat off a very low plate.
If you get to sit in the proper restaurant section then it is fine, but that’s not always open or available. It’s a risk!

Well to be honest I wouldn’t really know a lot about this place because we couldn’t get a table.
We went on a Saturday night and I tries to book on wednesday evening as I know how busy places are but….
I was not allowed to book and was told they did not take bookings for small parties (we had four people) I thought that was weird and I said ’ if we come will we get a table?’ I was assured that there was plenty of room and even if they are busy we would be placed in a small queue.
So off we went on Saturday- arrived at 7.30 and were told a table would be ready in one and a half hours!!!!!!!
What on earth- this would clearly not have happened if they would have allowed me to book three nights previously!
Then the most annoying thing happened the waitress had the cheek to give me a little ‘wink, wink, nudge, nudge’ and told me… Next time ring and book for 6 people and if only 4 arrive there’s nothing we can do! Thanks for the tip but telling me on Wednesday would have been nice!
WHAT ON EARTH - could anyone explain the theory behind this bizarre rule?!
Oh and then my poor mum got food spilt all over her while we were trying to get out of there!
I will certainly never ever go there- when we looked in- the poor people were like sardines in a tin eating tea. We went to the 4 corners in the end—so much better.
